Both Jaguar Land Rover brands will launch six new all-electric Land Rover models over the next five years and become fully electric vehicle companies.

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) aims to become the world’s most profitable luxury car company. The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thierry Bollor has said this. Addressing shareholders at Tata Motors’ annual report for 2020-21, Bollore said the British brand plans to focus on value addition by focusing on profit over quantity.
Bollore said that, we aim to have double digit EBIT margin and become the world’s most profitable luxury car manufacturer. He said that apart from the shortage of semiconductors at the global level, there are many other challenges that need to be addressed.
With this, he said, “But we will move forward with a new thinking strategy. In design we will provide modern luxury. With the new idea, we will be able to bring a change in our business. We aim to satisfy our customers and add value to our investors and people.”

He further said that the company will further simplify its architecture strategy and also organize manufacturing footprints. JLR is now in the process of becoming a much better organization which works on its human-centric strengths. We will build a knowledge-sharing ecosystem with the best partners in the global industry to drive forward in clean energy, software and digitization.
Talking in detail about the company’s strategy, he said that it will allow the company to move towards zero carbon by 2039. “Both of our brands will be replaced by electrification with six new all-electric Land Rover models over the next five years and Jaguar will be a fully electric brand by 2025.

Let us tell you that JLR has recently introduced the new Range Rover Velar, whose ex-showroom price is Rs 79.87 lakh. In this R-Dynamic S trim, the Engine is available on 2.0L petrol and diesel powertrains. The 2.0-liter petrol engine generates 184 kW of power and 365 Nm of torque. Its 2.0 liter diesel engine provides 150 kW and torque of 430Nm.
The new range Land Rover Velar has been launched with many exciting new features. This includes 3D surround camera, electronic air suspension, cabin air irration with PM 2.5 filter and new Piwi infotainment system. It is cleaner, safer and smarter than before. According to the company, it is the most technologically advanced luxury SUV in the world.
