Below is a list of the top cars with the highest rating (higher rating means more safe) by Global NCAP.

Mahindra XUV300
According to the Global NCAP test, the safest car in the country is Mahindra XUV300, whose crash test was done last year in 2020. It has got five stars out of five and when it comes to Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) score, it has got 16.42 out of 17. Talking about Child Accent Protection (COP) too, this car is very safe and it has got 37.44 points out of 49.
This car has features like two airbags, ABS, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX child seat anchorages. According to the crash test of this car, the passenger sitting in the front seat gets better protection, but if we talk about the driver, then there is enough protection on his chest and knees. The crash test of this car was done at a speed of 64 kmph. Its body has got a stable rating.
Nanny Altroz
Tata Altroz has also got five stars in the Global NCAP crash tests. Tata’s premium hatchback has an AOP score of 16.13 in 17 and 29 in COP 49. The car was tested at a speed of 64 kmph and according to it it has good head protection for the driver and front passenger but There is adequate protection for chest and knee. It gets two airbags, ABS and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Its body has got a stable rating.

Tata Nexon set a record in 2018 when a car in the country got five stars in the Global NCAP crash test for the first time. The car was crash tested at a speed of 64 kmph and according to it, it has good head protection for the driver and front seat passenger but adequate protection for the chest and knees. Talking about the features in this, the car has been given two airbags, ABS, ISOFIX anchorage. Its body has got a stable rating.

According to this, the head of the passenger and the driver sitting in the front seat has got good protection, but the chest and knee of the passenger have good protection and the driver’s chest and knee have marginal protection. Talking about the safety equipment in this car, it has been given two airbags, ABS, ISOFIX anchorages, and disc brakes on all four wheels. The bodyshell integrity is stable. KIA Seltos
Now if we talk about the crash test report of the car divided into two pieces in the accident in Madhya Pradesh, then this 3-star car has got an AOP score of 8.03 points out of 17 and COP score is 15 out of 49. According to the Global Encap crash test results, this car has enough protection for the head of the passenger and the driver sitting in both the front seats, that is, it cannot be called good protection. Apart from this, there is good protection for the chest of the passenger but there is marginal protection for the chest of the driver. The protection of the knee of the driver is weak and there is a marginal protection above the knee of the passenger including the driver.
