Maker Flying Taxi Archer Aviation
Nowadays many big companies are working on flying taxi, so if you think that it will take years to come, then you are wrong. While many companies are busy introducing their versions, Archer Aviation of America recently showcased its flying taxi ‘Maker’ which can fulfill your dream of flying taxi.
This flying taxi maker from Archer Aviation has made a great start and the company has shown what this flying taxi is capable of. This flying taxi can fly in the sky at a speed of 240 kilometers per hour and it can stay in the air for 100 kilometers which is another great feature. It has seating for a total of four people including the pilot.
Maker is not operational in the commercial space but it can certainly lay the foundation for flying transportation. “Our real goal is to create a mass market transportation solution in and around cities,” said Brett Adock, CEO and Co-Founder, Archer Aviation.
Flying taxis have the potential to become an inter-city transport option, but they also need to be made affordable. In the US, it can be around $4 per passenger mile. But the biggest benefit will be the time savings as most of the global cities face the problem of road jams regularly.
If we talk about the launch of Maker, then Archer Aviation can launch it in Los Angeles and Miami in 2024. In this, the government’s zero-emission transport option is helping it further because it can be an economical and work option. However, it may take more time to follow the approval and safety norms because all countries including America are more cautious in the matter of flying taxi.
