The government had introduced new rules for social media platforms three months ago. In such a situation, these rules are coming to an end today. Looking at this, now it is being said that from tomorrow, Facebook and Twitter will stop working. If any social media company does not accept these rules, then they will not be allowed to operate in the country.
Social media companies were asked to appoint Compliance Officers, Nodal Officers in India and all of them were required to be in India. There are rules for complaint resolution, monitoring of objectionable content, compliance report and removal of objectionable material etc.
In such a situation, so far only Kuo has been able to do this and other companies are failing in this. In such a situation, now the users have started to fear that, from tomorrow, all social media platforms in India will stop working. In view of this, many Indians trolled it as well, while sharing a lot of fun on social media also shared memes. Mims are being shared continuously on Twitter, Insta and Facebook.
