Covid-19 India Update: With 3.11 lakh corona virus infections, India has seen the lowest increase in cases of COVID-19 after 25 days. According to updated data by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, the total number of deaths reached 2,70,284 with 4,077 deaths.
Recovery rate reached 84.25 percent
A total of 3,11,170 new cases have been reported in a single day, taking the total number of COVID-10 cases in India to 2,46,84,077. On April 21, a total of 2,95,041 cases were reported within 24 hours. The number of active cases decreased to 36,18,458, including 14.66 of the total infections. However, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate improved to 84.25 percent. This information has been received from the updated data at 8 am.
The data showed that the number of people recovered from the disease increased to 2,07,95,335, while the death rate of cases was recorded at 1.09 percent. India’s number of COVID-19 cases crossed the 20 lakh mark on 7 August. It had crossed 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. Total cases crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December. India had crossed two crores on 4 May.

Highest deaths in Maharashtra
According to ICMR, till May 15, 31,48,50,143 sample tests have been conducted, in which 18,32,950 sample tests were conducted on Saturday. Of the 4,077 new deaths, 960 are from Maharashtra, 349 from Karnataka, 337 Delhi, 303 Tamil Nadu, 281 Uttar Pradesh, 216 Punjab, 197 Uttarakhand, 149 Rajasthan, 144 each from Haryana and West Bengal and 129 from Chhattisgarh.
So far, there have been a total of 2,70,284 deaths in the country, including 80,512 from Maharashtra, 21,434 from Karnataka, 21244 from Delhi, 17,359 from Tamil Nadu, 17,238 from Uttar Pradesh, 13,137 from West Bengal, 11,693 from Punjab and 11,590 from Chhattisgarh.
