Israel Palestine Conflict: US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have talked about the situation in Gaza. According to a statement issued by Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli leader has informed Biden about the events and the actions or possible actions taken by Israel (Israel Palestine Conflict in Hindi). According to the statement, Netanyahu told Biden, “Thank you also for the unconditional support given by America to our right to self-defense.”
According to the statement, during the conversation, Netanyahu insisted that Israel is doing its best to protect those who are not involved in the violence from any harm (Israel Palestine Airstrike). The conversation between Biden and Netanyahu took place on Saturday, hours after Israeli airstrikes targeted and demolished a multi-storey building in Gaza City. The building housed offices of ‘The Associated Press’ and other media institutions.
The dispute started from the evening of 7 May
The ongoing dispute between Israelis and Palestinians began on the evening of 7 May, which escalated further on 10 May. In fact, the case is going on in the Supreme Court of Israel on that piece of land, which has a majority of the population of Palestinians. The court has said that Jews should be settled on this land, after which there is anger among Palestinians. However, the hearing on the case was postponed after the violence began (Israel Palestine Conflict History). But due to this issue, violence erupted later.
Rockets being fired from both sides
Meanwhile, on Friday, people from Palestine area also came to offer prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. There were reports that these people had come here to warn the Israeli police in a way, stones were fired on the police and firecrackers were fired. After this, the police went to the mosque and took action. During this time many people were arrested. After this, on the evening of May 10, the Palestinian extremist organization Hamas started firing rockets from Gaza towards Israel. In response, rockets were fired from Israel on Gaza as well. As a result, at least 130 Palestinians and 10 Israelis have died so far.
