B.1.617 variants reached 44 countries of the world
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) described the B.1.617 SARS-CoV-2 variant as a concern variant. The WHO said that there is evidence that these variants spread faster. The health body informed that B.1.617 variants are responsible for the increasing cases of corona in India. Apart from India, these variants have spread rapidly to different parts of the world. The WHO reported that the B.1.617 variant was first found in India in October. Sequences uploaded to the GISAID open-access database reveal that these variants have been found in 44 countries in all six WHO regions.
