Corona Kavach: Insurance regulator IRDAI launched the Exclusive Health Insurance Plan, which has a Corona Kavach, to cover hospital expenses for Corona Infectants. Even under such circumstances, cover is provided under the Corona Armor policy, but for this there are some guidelines which need to be followed only then the claim settlement process can be done easily. These guidelines also mention all those expenses which will be covered in the claim.
According to IRDAI guidelines, cashless or reimbursement facility is also available. However, it is important to know here that before taking these services or treatment, approval has to be taken from the insurance company and action will be taken on this type of request within 2 hours.

Home care treatment expenses will be covered for 14 days
The cost of up to 14 days for treatment of Corona infection at home will be covered under the Corona Armor Policy. However, this treatment should be done under the supervision of a doctor. Below is the information about the circumstances in which coverage can be taken under the Corona Armor Policy.
- Home treatment is being done under the supervision of a medical practitioner (doctor).
- During the treatment at home, every day medical practitioners monitor the health of the corona infected.
- Everyday monitoring chart also includes treatment records, which should be signed by the treating doctor.

The corona shell has a pulse oximeter, oxygen cylinder and nebulizer cover, but is prescibed by a medical practitioner. However, it should be confirmed by the insurance company that the cost of refilling will be covered or the cost of the entire oxygen cylinder. Similarly, if the medical practitioner being treated has prescribed the following things, then it will be covered in the insurance policy.
- Diagnostic test at home or a diagnostic center.
- Prescribed medicines in writing.
- Consultation Charges of Medical Practitioner.
- Nursing charges related to medical staff.
- Medical procedure, though it will be limited to the parenteral administration of medicines.
- Pulse oximeter, oxygen cylinder and nebulizer.
