Google posted a doodle on Saturday to create awareness for COVID-19 vaccines and to boost the feeling of wearing face masks among people amid a surge in coronovirus cases. The Google Doodle has been featured on the search engine’s homepage with an animation effect to attract the attention of the general public.
On clicking on it, Doodle shows search results on COVID-19 vaccines. This new development by Google is about the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India for people 18 years or older. It is currently available in 6 states, although other states are likely to be included later, depending on the availability of vaccines at present.
The Google Doodle to encourage people for the COVID-19 vaccine is available in countries including the US, UK, Canada, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Google is making people aware with face masks and bandages to represent the people getting vaccinated.
Once a user clicks on the doodle, they get to see search results about the word “COVID vaccine”. The search results page also has a sidebar that gives details about the COVID-19 jab as well as informs users where to get vaccines, what are the priority groups and what is their effectiveness. The sidebar also contains links to news about the COVID-19 vaccine and its rollout. Users are also shown with information about the safety and side effects of the vaccine.
This doodle of Google gives a message which says, “Get Tikka, wear a mask.” save life.” It can be read by moving the cursor over the doodle picture.

Explain that earlier this week, the Government of India started registration for COVID-19 vaccine for people between 18 and 44 years. The vaccination campaign for the eligible people started in a gradual manner before Saturday in 6 cities, i.e. Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Odisha. However, due to the ongoing shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in the country, there is no confirmation on when it will reach other cities.
