Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Sunday that the lockdown in the capital is being extended for another week on May 3, Monday at 5 am. Despite the one week lockdown in Delhi, the positivity rate is at a record high. Kejriwal said that the lockdown was ending at 5 am yesterday. The increase was necessary because the cases are not declining.
Lockdown rules will remain the same
Kejriwal further said that all the people, including businessmen and common people, said that it should be increased. He said that during the last week he saw that the positivity rate had reached 36-37 per cent. He said that we have never seen such high figures in Delhi before. Today, it has come down to 29 per cent, but that does not mean that the corona virus is going to end. We will have to wait and watch and fight it.
Officials said that the conditions of the lockdown will remain the same, in which necessary employees will be allowed to travel by showing their identity cards. And other people will be able to apply for e-pass.
