Last year, Ola announced that it would set up its first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu by investing 2400 crores.

Ola chairman and group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that, we will prepare the factory by June and then we will bring it to work slowly. As soon as the factory is setup, we will also start the sale, which will be the month of July.
Regarding charging points, Ola says that it will put 5000 charging points in 100 cities. The network charges 50 percent of the Ola scooter battery in just 18 minutes. That is, you can walk up to 75 km.

The plan of Hypercharger Network is to install 5000 charging stations in 100 cities this year. Although it may take some time, but the company has made it clear that it is preparing to launch the Ola scooter within the next few months.
In May 2020, Ola made a public announcement that he had authorized Dutch startup Etergo. In such a situation, the company is bringing its first scooter in the Indian market. This scooter will directly compete with Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube Electric. The scooter is already being tested in Tamil Nadu.
