Due to increasing cases of Coronavirus by Britain, India has put India in the ‘Red List’ of the COVID-19 trip. Indian citizens are very worried about this. At the same time, Heathrow Airport of Britain has also increased problems. Heathrow Airport has refused to allow additional flights from India. Under the ‘Red List’, everyone except the residents of British or Ireland is banned from entering the country. In this way, the difficulties of Indian citizens who were just about to fly to Britain have increased now.
Health Minister Matt Hancock said on Monday that Britain has decided to put India in the ‘Red List’ because 100 cases of new variants of Corona found in India have been found in the country. Hancock said in Parliament that we have taken a difficult but an important decision to include India in the ‘Red List’. This means that any person who is not a resident of Britain or Ireland and has been in India in the last 10 days, will not be given entry into the country.
… So extra flights were not allowed
The BBC reported on Thursday that the request from airlines to allow additional flights was rejected because there was a risk of long queues during passport checks. Four airlines had requested India to operate an additional eight flights, as passengers want to return before the new rules take effect. Currently, 30 flights a week are operating between India and the UK. On behalf of the airport, it was said that it does not want to increase the existing pressure on the border further by allowing more passengers to travel.
The risk of corona is increasing rapidly in India
The ‘Red List’ has been released at a time when cases of coronavirus infection in India are continuously increasing. Due to this, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (Boris Jhonson) also had to cancel the scheduled visit to India on 26 April. This list will be effective from 4 am local time on Friday. UK and Ireland passport holders and those with right to accommodation in the UK will be allowed, but will have to stay for 10 days in a hotel in Quartin.
