Along with this, Bajaj is also increasing the production of this scooter so that the demand can be met. Apart from this, the company is going to introduce this scooter in two more cities after Pune and Bangalore to increase its sales. Soon this battery-powered electric scooter will be launched in Chennai and Hyderabad. As of December 2020, Bajaj has a total of 18 dedicated Chetak dealerships in India, of which five are in Pune and the rest in Bangalore.
In view of the increasing demand for this scooter, Bajaj has increased the price of this scooter. The price of Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has increased by a total of Rs 27000 and its price has now increased to Rs 1,42,620 (ex-showroom, Pune). Let us tell you that the company had increased its price in March 2021 and it had become expensive by Rs 5000.
This scooter gives a tough competition to the Ather 450X and TVS iQube. Where the price of this bike started from 1.28 lakhs (ex-showroom), it has now reached 1.47 lakhs (ex-showroom). After FAME-II and state subsidy, its price has come down to 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom) while in retail it is priced at Rs 1.30 (ex-showroom).
Features of Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooters
This electric scooter is available in two variants, Urban and Premium. It has a 3 kWh capacity battery pack and 4.08 kW electric motor and you can run it up to 95 km on a single charge. You can fully charge the battery of this scooter in just 5 hours. Apart from this, talk about other features, it has smartphone connectivity, key lace start-stop system and designer alloy wheels. Apart from this, you have been given a digital instrument console and a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear for security. Apart from this, Combined Braking System (CBS) has also been given for better handling.
