After the enactment of the amended Motor Vehicle Act, there is a rule for inbound driving license for three months along with a fine for violating certain traffic rules.
Apart from this, those who want a driving license will now need to pass a set of stringent skill tests. To qualify the test involves reversing a vehicle with perfection. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the passing percentage for getting driving license in all the regional transport offices has been fixed at 69 percent. According to the information revealed, these skill tests are going to be very difficult.
According to the current traffic rules, if a driver violates the traffic rules, the driver’s license is canceled for three months. This means that the driving license is also inbound for three months along with the fine for breaking traffic rules. But now this will not be done and the license will not be canceled if the traffic rules are broken.
According to the news of News18, the Ministry of Road Transport is preparing to change such traffic rules, which will provide relief to all the drivers. The ministry has made this plan in view of the problems faced by the drivers. After this, the drivers will not have to go round to get the license back.
What is the rule now?
After the enactment of the amended Motor Vehicle Act, there is a rule for inbound driving license for three months along with a fine for violating certain traffic rules. This means that if a person is found to be breaking the traffic rules, then the traffic police confiscate his license and submit it to the traffic police office which is returned after three months. In such a situation, those drivers who have come from other states have to face the most problem. To get their license, they have to come back to the same state from where their license is confiscated.
Repeated rules may have to be overwhelming
Let me tell you that breaking traffic rules again and again can be overwhelming for you. The Transport Department has repeatedly made an important decision regarding those who break traffic rules. Under this, if a person is repeatedly found to be breaking the rules, then the Transport Department will put his name in the ‘list of notoriety’. According to the report, according to the new traffic rules, these steps can be taken by driving drunk, driving at high speed, driving dangerously and not wearing helmets.
With this, a category named ‘Name and Shame’ is going to be created on the website of the Transport Department. The names of those who repeatedly violate traffic rules will be inserted in it. However, the name of such people will be put on the portal only when their DL will not make any kind of appeal in this regard even after one month of disqualification. If you do not appeal in a month, the DL will be automatically canceled and people whose name will be put on the portal can also take a print.
