The people of Myanmar also once again took to the streets demanding restoration of democracy on Sunday. Just a day earlier, 114 people were killed by the security forces here (Myanmar Protests Against Military Coup). Saturday is being described as the biggest bloody day since the coup.

Protests are taking place here at several places including Yangon and Mandalay, the two largest cities of the country. In this country, there was a military coup on 1 February, when the elected government’s big leaders were taken into custody (Myanmar Protests Deaths). At the same time, the army declared a one-year emergency while taking command of the country.

Children were among those killed on Saturday. This death toll has been released by Myanmar’s media and researchers (Myanmar Protests After Coup). Earlier on March 14, most people were murdered. Here people are protesting against the military coup. Now the total figure of those who died has increased to 420.

Even before this, the military government was in power here for five decades, after which democracy was restored in Myanmar. On the situation in Myanmar, military presidents of 12 countries issued a joint statement condemning this violent action. These countries have asked Myanmar’s army in unison to immediately end the violence and work to bring honor and credibility to the people (Myanmar Protests Reason). These statements have been issued by defense chiefs of Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Britain and America.
