If your photo is printed poorly on your Aadhaar card too and you are planning to get it replaced, but you are not able to get it changed, then there is no need to worry. Today we are going to tell you the very easy way by which you can easily get your good photo-based.
Please tell that UIDAI used to provide an online facility to update the name, address and mobile number as well as the photos in it on the first Aadhaar card, but now you can change only the address online. Apart from this, you have to apply offline for other changes. In such a situation, if you want to make any kind of change in your photo, then for that you will have to go to your nearest enrollment center or apply through post. So let’s know step by step process…
Go to the official website of UIDAI by going to the Get AADHAAR section and download the Aadhaar enrollment/update form and then fill the form and submit it to the Aadhaar service center. Your fingerprints, retina scan and photograph will be re-captured at the nomination center and you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 to get your information updated. After doing this, you will receive a URN (update request number) as soon as your application for a photo update is accepted. Through these numbers, you can track your application online. After this, you will get a new Aadhaar card with an updated picture in about 90 days.
You can also get updates by writing a letter
If you do not want to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, you can get the Aadhaar card corrected by writing to the Regional Office of UIDAI. For this, go to https://uidai.gov.in/ and download the ‘Aadhaar Card Update Correction’ form. After this, fill in the information asked in the form and then write a letter to update the Aadhaar card in the name of the regional office of UIDAI and attach a self-attested photo with it and post it. After this, within two weeks you will be sent to your home with an Aadhaar card with a new photograph.
