Many companies around the world are commercially successful and there are many companies from India as well. However, if we talk about ethical companies, then there are some companies in India. One such list has been prepared by the American company Ethisphere Institute, in which the most ethical companies of 2021 have been kept. Three companies from India have been placed in this list, of which two are from IT sector. 135 companies from 47 industries from 22 countries have been placed in the world’s most ethical companies and Infosys, Wipro and Tata Steel have been ranked from India.
Out of 135 companies, 98 are from America and 9 companies are ranked in this list for the first time. Apart from this, there are 6 companies which have been included in this list since the beginning when this list is being prepared. This list is being prepared since 2007. Companies like HP and Microsoft are also included in the list.
This is how the list is prepared
The Ethisphere Institute, while preparing the list of these companies, has based their impact on the society and their contribution to positive changes in the business community and society. Apart from this, the list has been prepared keeping in mind the impact of the norms and ideology of the company on its personnel, shareholders, customers and other stakeholders.
This year, while preparing the list, it was also seen how companies responded to the corona epidemic. Apart from this, he was ranked in the list based on how he responded to environmental, social, governance factors, equity, inclusion and social justice.
Three companies in India included in the list
- Infosys of Software & Services has got a place in this list. There are 243000 personnel employed in it.
- Tata Steel of Metals, Minerals and Mining has also been included in the list. There are 32364 personnel employed in it.
- Wipro of Information Technology Services has been included in the list. It has 1.80 lakh employees.
