“I don’t have any authority over hospitals in Turkey and I also appreciate the UK government has no control (over) what happens in other countries.
“However the hazard our residents will proceed to journey overseas for such procedures continues, although residents are unaware of the dangers concerned.”

Ms Lake provided her sympathies to Ms Kerr’s household, who listened to the inquest through videolink.
