A former Metropolitan Police officer has been discovered responsible of raping a lady and a woman.
Adam Provan was convicted on Monday of six counts of rape of a fellow police officer between 2003 and 2005.
The 44-year-old, of Newmarket, Suffolk, was additionally discovered responsible of two counts of rape of a teenage lady, whom he met on a blind date after mendacity about his age in 2010.
Provan was a serving officer within the Met Police’s East Area Command Unit on the time of the offences.
Detective Sergeant Victoria James described Provan’s offences as “truly dreadful”.

The trial at Wood Green Crown Court in north London heard that Provan met the 16-year-old lady by a pal.
The courtroom heard he lied about his age, claiming that he was 22.
He later took her to Central Park in Romford and compelled her to commit a intercourse act, jurors have been informed.
She informed a relative that she had been raped on the time, but it surely was not reported to police till 2016.
Provan was later convicted and jailed for 9 years and was sacked from the Met in March 2019.
