The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), which oversees Aadhaar Card related services, has issued a warning to citizens. This warning is about a type of fraud. UIDAI has said that if someone promises to make you an Aadhaar Center Operator by taking money, then do not get caught in that.
UIDAI has said in the tweet that the Aadhaar operators are appointed registrars, not UIDAI. To become an Aadhaar center operator one has to contact the registrar of his area. Therefore, if someone promises you that he will take you money and make you an Aadhaar Center Operator, then do not get into his deception. Simultaneously, call his 1947 number and lodge it.
