An Army special-ops staff stormed the incorrect Boston resort room throughout a nighttime coaching train, bursting in and detaining a resort visitor, the FBI stated.
“First and foremost, we’d like to extend our deepest apologies to the individual who was affected by the training exercise,” stated a press release from Lt. Col. Mike Burns of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. No accidents have been reported.
The bungled raid occurred round 10 p.m. Tuesday on the Revere Hotel Boston Common, within the downtown enterprise space.
“Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” stated the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which was aiding within the train.
Burns stated the coaching “was meant to enhance soldiers’ skills to operate in realistic and unfamiliar environments.”
A Boston police incident report stated officers have been referred to as to the resort round 12:20 a.m. Wednesday and have been met by the federal brokers.
