Midway by means of the third quarter of Thursday’s 33-26 loss at Minnesota, Patriots tight finish Hunter Henry misplaced a 6-yard landing to a controversial overturn.
Running an out route left alongside the aim line, Henry snagged a cross from quarterback Mac Jones and prolonged the ball into the top zone. As he fell to the turf together with his arms outstretched, the underside tip of the ball hit the bottom whereas one hand remained beneath it. Then the ball momentarily spun in his loosened grip whereas Henry rolled on his again. Finally, Henry clutched the ball to his chest firmly with each palms and finally stood up with a declared landing that after a prolonged overview was dominated an incomplete cross.
Henry addressed the play within the locker room post-game, saying he believed he scored a landing.
“I don’t know. They called what they called. I believe I caught it, but, I mean, they made a call, and (I) just have to live with it,” Henry told reporters.
Did the referees give Henry a proof?
“They said it hit the ground, but I believe my hand was under the ball. The hand was under the ball with (it) hitting the ground, so that’s what kind of caused it to jump up, but just gotta live with it,” he added. “They made the call.”

After the overview, the Patriots despatched out kicker Nick Folk for a 25-yard discipline aim and took a 26-23 lead. Folk’s discipline aim was their last rating of the evening.
“We’ve got to move on from that play and play the rest of the game,” Jones stated. “There was plenty of time left, and there were other times we could’ve punched it in and that wouldn’t have even been an issue.”
