Kanye West’s Twitter and Instagram accounts have been restricted over the weekend, with the social media platforms saying they eliminated the rapper’s posts after on-line customers condemned them as antisemitic.
West, who has legally modified his title to Ye, had his Instagram account suspended after a since-removed submit wherein he allegedly invoked antisemitic tropes, accusing a musician of being managed by “the Jewish people”.
After he was locked out of his Instagram, he took to Twitter, the place he tweeted on Saturday for the primary time in two years.
He posted a blurry photograph of the rapper and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg singing karaoke, saying: “Look at this Mark How you gone kick me off Instagram.”
West then tweeted: “You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
The step by Twitter Inc to lock the rapper’s account was noteworthy as a result of billionaire Elon Musk, who has mentioned he would purchase Twitter and calls himself a free speech absolutist, had welcomed West’s return to the platform and replied to a submit by the rapper tweeting: “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!”
