A tech platform Logically, and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi), research-orientated state college with a specialization in pc science, have introduced to increase their present analysis collaborations on combating on-line harms. The extension has been determined to proceed till 2026.
As a part of the partnership, the 2 organisations purpose to conduct additional analysis on growing superior applied sciences to counter hate speech and on-line mis- and disinformation. According to IIIT Delhi, the partnership may even improve multimedia analytical capabilities, together with video, photographs and memes, in addition to construct multilingual fashions that perceive regional languages in India.
The establishment claims that since 2020, Logically and the Laboratory for Computational Social Systems (LCS2) at IIIT-Delhi have been collaborating on elementary technical analysis on understanding the provenance, motivations, and psychology of on-line misinformation. It additional added that during the last two years, the analysis targeted on how society can determine and impede on-line misinformation and its unfold.
“As expected, we have been able to show quantifiable results in the space of research to curb hate speech and mis-or disinformation. Given the success from the first phase of our collaboration, we look forward to further strengthening our partnership with a prestigious institution like IIIT-Delhi,” Anil Bandhakavi, Head of Data Science, Logically, stated.
“Our research capabilities and Logically’s industry experience will enable us to develop better insights in understanding online harm and its prevention across languages and various forms of media,” Tanmoy Chakraborty, affiliate professor, director, LCS2, head, Center for AI , IIIT-Delhi, stated.
